Pause on Park: Yoga at St. Bart's

Weeknight Yoga at St. Bart's

Tuesdays, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm beginning January 23, 2024

Step off of Park Avenue and into the sanctuary of St. Bart’s for a weeknight yoga class. Cultivate a practice of rest, reorientation, and connection while spending Tuesday evening in our expansive space. This is an open-level opportunity. You don’t need prior yoga training to participate, but if you’re a more experienced visitor, our instructor can offer modifications and personalized guidance.

Instruction takes place every Tuesday night from 6 pm to 7 pm. You’ll find us at 325 Park Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets. We also have a wheelchair-accessible entrance on 109 E 50th Street. There’s a place for everyone here. Find your space to pause, to breathe, to be.

FAQs

Who Can Come?

Participants of all abilities and ages are welcome. As with any physical activity, please consult your doctor before joining if you have concerns about prior injuries or medical conditions. You’re welcome to modify movements as necessary. We encourage you to inform our instructor of relevant injuries, pregnancy, or medical conditions as you see fit.

What Should I Bring?

If you already own a yoga mat, we recommend bringing it with you. A limited number of yoga mats will be available to borrow if you can’t bring your own. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle to class. If you practice with yoga blocks or other related accessories, you can bring those, too.

What Should I Leave Behind?

Judgment, self-doubt, and limiting beliefs.

How Much Does Class Cost?

The class operates on a pay-as-you-wish basis. We suggest a $10 donation, but you are welcome to contribute as you can. Your donations support our instructor and help ensure that the class remains accessible to a wide array of participants.

What If Class Is Canceled?

If a class is canceled due to inclement weather or another unforeseen circumstance, we will email you to inform you of the cancellation. We’re happy to count your donation toward a future class!
