Our clergy share the responsibility of being on call. If your need is urgent, call 212-378-0250 and you will be forwarded to the priest on duty. For other matters, call during business hours at one of the numbers in the staff listing below.
Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which one embraces the Christian way and becomes a member of Christ’s body, the Church. Baptisms are scheduled throughout the year on specific Sundays. See dates here. When there are extenuating circumstances, private baptisms may be arranged. Email

A death in the family can be reported to any of the clergy, using the pastoral emergency phone, 212-378-0250. Clergy will assist with funeral or memorial plans and can recommend the services of an undertaker.
Laying on of Hands and Healing Prayers are offered at the 9 am, 11 am and 5 pm Sunday services, Wednesdays at 12:05 pm, and by request during the week. The rite of Reconciliation of a Penitent (private confession and counsel) can be scheduled with any of the clergy.

St. Bartholomew’s offers many programs, including a breakfast feeding program (soup kitchen) on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings, a food pantry and an eight-bed overnight shelter. Your continued support through groceries (or donations) is much appreciated.
