Tarab Sacred Music Ensemble plays Sufi music from Palestine, Syria and Lebanon. Tarab comprises five musicians who sing and play acoustic instruments (nay, oud, buzuq, frame drums and riq) from the Middle East, as well as a whirling dervish who dances along to the music. Tarab is a term used by musicians to describe the feeling that comes along with the enjoyment of music, roughly translated as the "ecstacy of music."

Sufi music is played on Muslim holy days, such as Mawwlad al-Nabawi, Laylat al-Qadr and throughout the month of Ramadan. Join the Tarab Sacred Music Ensemble as they take you on a musical journey of the Muslim world.
