The Preschool works closely with each family to help identify the best ongoing school options, based on each child’s unique profile. During the spring, parents of students in Class III are required to attend an“Ongoing School Forum.” During the Forum, parents learn more about their public and private school options, how the process works, etc. Soon after the Forum, the parents meet individually with the Director to discuss a range of schools appropriate for their child. ERB testing is offered on-site each fall to students attending Class IV.
While some of our Preschool graduates continue on to schools within the public sector, the vast majority of graduates from St. Bartholomew Community Preschool are accepted into an extensive and impressive list of private schools in the New York area, including but not limited to, Allen-Stevenson, Brearley, Browning, Buckley, Chapin, Collegiate, Dalton, Hewitt, Friends, Sacred Heart, Spence, St. Bernard's, and Trinity.
