SUNDAY, September 14: Interactive Art & Digital Storytelling Alongside being Manager of Communications at St. Bart's, Roz is an innovator in the field of Digital Art. Describing herself as a classicist in new clothes, she will demonstrate the workings behind her recent interactive portraits and lead the classs in a creative exercise. SUNDAY, September 7: STAIN THE GLASS with a Master! Stained Glass Demo and Kid's Take-Home Craft working with an artist whose work is collected internationally and who has been working in this medium since 1997.The artist says "Working with glass gives me the ability to bring the brilliance of light and pattern into play of the canvas”.
SUNDAY, August 24: THE ULTIMATE BAKER The Church community celebrated St. Bartholomew's Feast day on Sunday, August 24 with a spectacular cake designed by professional chef and baker, Roger Hockett, an active member of St. Bart's, who attends with his family, Patrick Boylan, Luke, and Nora. The cake was Roger's, but the decorations were the joyous work of St. Bart's kids during the Artists-in-Residence Sunday School hour. It was a wonderful surprise to the Community during Coffee Hour!

Yoga and Meditation for Kids
Esther Yang Do fun yoga poses and quiet your mind in your Sunday best. Studies
have found that kids who are physically flexible are less likely to get injured and learned best when they are having fun. In this class, they will also learn to quiet their mind and center themselves with simple meditation. Parents are welcome to join in. Hey, we need to be flexible too!

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR: Kathy Bozzuti-Jones, PhD, serves as director of Children,Youth & Family Ministries at St. Bartholomew’s. She has experience as a lay Episcopal chaplain, spiritual director, family educator, retreat leader, and small group facilitator. Kathy is co-chair of the New York Diocesan Children and Family Committee. Multi-faith spirituality, social justice, writing, art-making, and song are all part of her broad but concentrated focus. Her recent poetry and essays have appeared in Race and Prayer, “Sewanee Theological Review,” “Episcopal New Yorker”, and “Children at Worship,”an on-line monthly resource for teachers. Kathy is the architect behind St. Bartholomew’s “15-minute services” on Sunday mornings, offering creative early formation in prayer and family worship time to families with young children.
Sunday mornings, beginning June 22 (10-10:50 am), Community House, 4th floor. Materials provided, free of charge. Mixed ages 3+. Parents are expected to accompany and assist their children under age 10. Older youth work at their own level and assist the presenters. Visitors are always welcome. Each session begins and ends in prayer circle. No sessions over Labor Day. Last session, Sept. 7.
