What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is one of the 7 sacraments of the Episcopal church.  Confirmation is an opportunity to make a mature affirmation of one's faith in the presence of a bishop. All baptized persons are encouraged to do this, and it is especially appropriate for those who were baptized as infants.

How do youth (ages 13 - 18) get confirmed?

Youth will be considered for confirmation provided they meet the following requirements:

1)  Have an 80% attendance rate in Youth @ The CENTER activities and meetings (or 80% participation in Choristers) during the 2011 - 2012 school year.

2)  Be between 13 and 18 years of age.  (13 year olds must have the approval of Julie Ross or Wendy Claire Barrie.)

3)  All youth, including Choristers, must attend the YOUTH CONFIRMATION CLASSES held in the Spring from 10:00 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. in the Youth Room.  Dates TBA.

4)  Be present for confirmation when the Bishop comes. (Date TBA)

When is Confirmation?

Confirmation is held in the Spring of each year, and is dependent upon the Bishop's visit.  Confirmation for 2012 has not yet been set, but as soon as the date is known, it will be published here.
