For five Wednesday evenings in Lent, join St. Bart's parishioner and popular teacher Thomas Porto in a study of The Confessions of St. Augustine, this classic of western Chrisitian spirituality, masterpiece of prose and prototype for spiritual journaling.
Thomas recommends the translation by Gary Wills, Penguin Classics 2006, which is on sale in the St. Bart's Store in the narthex (lobby).

You may remember Thomas from the highly engaging three-season study of Dante's Inferno that he led at St. Bart's several years ago. Thomas is an Italianist with degrees in Italian Literature, Language and Philosophy.
