Directions to St. Bartholomew’s
St. Bartholomew’s Church is located on the east side of Park Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets (map). There is an accessible entrance, with elevator to the main church level, at 109 East 50th Street. (For more information on accessibility, click here.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day parking:
As our special gift to you, St. Bart’s will offer free parking at the
Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel parking garage for up to five hours
between 3 pm Monday, December 24, and 1:30 am Tuesday, December 25; and
five hours again between 9 am and 2 pm Tuesday, December 25. Pick up
your special parking pass at St. Bart’s Central.
For Sunday worshippers, free parking is provided in the Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel New York City garage, 51st Street between Lexington and Third Avenues (51st Street is one-way West). Present your claim ticket to an usher and receive a card for all-day parking on Sundays (good for 12 hours or until midnight, whichever comes first).
Public Transit
Subway
No. 6 Lexington Avenue local to 51st Street, walk west to Park Avenue.
E or V train to Lexington Avenue-53rd Street stop, walk downtown on Lexington to 51st Street, turn right to Park Avenue.
Bus
Lexington Avenue or Third Avenue buses to 50th Street. Walk west to Park Avenue.
49/50th Street crosstown bus to Madison Avenue or Lexington Avenue. Only the westbound bus on 49th Street stops at Park Avenue.
Metro North
All lines to Grand Central. Take up escalator from main concourse, through the Met Life building to 46th Street, continue on covered walkway through Helmsely building and north on Park Avenue to 50th Street.
Driving Directions
From Westchester
South on the Saw Mill Parkway, continue on the Henry Hudson/West Side Highway to the 56th Street exit, east on 56th Street to Park Avenue, south to 51st Street.
South on the New York State Turnpike / Deegan Epwy. to 138th Street. Take the detour over the Third Avenue Bridge, south on FDR Drive to 53rd Street, continue west to Park Avenue.
From New Jersey
George Washington Bridge, south on West Side Highway to 56th Street, east to Park Avenue, south to 51st Street.
Lincoln Tunnel, drive east on 42nd Street, north on Madison Avenue, right on 50th Street to Park Avenue.
Holland Tunnel, north on West Side Highway to 42nd Street, east to Madison Avenue, north to 50th Street, right to Park Avenue.
From Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan
Use the FDR Drive north to 42nd Street, continue west to Madison Avenue, north to 50th Street, right to Park Avenue.
