Mondays: May 5, May 12 and May 19 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Led by Therese Ragen, Ph.D., clinical psychologist, and staff member of the Psychotherapy and Spirituality Institute at St. Bart’s. Writing can be a rewarding way to achieve greater self-awareness and a powerful tool for creative living. In this workshop you will learn to: heal childhood wounds and current relationships; get to know different parts of yourself; discover the writer within you; access your subconscious explore your creativity.

6:30 pm: CRI™ Short Course: Readings in the Qur’an
This introduction to the Qur’an will focus on how Muslims hear, read, and understand their holy book. We’ll begin with a history of how the text was revealed, and move into a discussion about the oral nature of the Qur’an, and how the words quickly became a test. Included will be a discussion of who is entitled to interpret the Qur’an, and how the words of the interpreters are heard by the people. Four Tuesdays, May 4–25. Click here to register online.


6:30 pm: Mastering the Art of the Résumé
Learn how to develop a distinctive résumé that reflects what you want to be hired for, and to write the cover letter that gets you past the gatekeeper. St. Bartholomew’s Choir sings for church services year-round and for special events in the Great Music Series. Come hear the solo voices of the choir in special recitals from September through May. Jesus: Uncovering the Life, Teachings, and Relevance of a Religious Revolutionary by Marcus Borg. Continues today, May 4th, at 12:30 pm and for three more Sundays. This book is an updating of Borg’s extensive research into the life of Jesus and covers some of the most recent theories among Jesus scholars. Weekly sessions are independent and handouts are made available each week to help anyone catch up and dive into the conversation. Led by parishioner Nathan Harkins.

1:00 pm: City-Wide Mother’s Day Blessing
A multi-faith event featuring guest speakers, dancers, singers and artists offering blessings to all mothers—those living and gone, adoptive and birth, pregnant, working, single, LGBT, grandmothers, fathers who mother, women who have suffered the loss of children, women who are trying to conceive, stepmothers, mothers of war, the Earth as mother.
