Roz Dimon

DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATION ARTS

staff_roz-dimonNEWS FLASH: Roz Dimon, Director of Communication Arts at St. Bart's, has a solo show of her DIMONscape® digital paintings opening May 10th in Southport, CT with a three day event launch and feature in VENU magazine.

Roz's spiritual instruction and imaginative offerings are transmitted largely via the digital ether, but she's also a classicist with a rigorous regard for drawing, painting, craftsmanship. As for boundaries, she prefers not to notice them, often mixing commercial  with fine, new with old, art with design. A former Art Director in charge of Creative Storytelling at The Wall Street Journal Online, she has also shown her work extensively in New York and abroad, and is in numerous collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Meaningfulness comes from harnessing her 24/7 imagination to the digital medium to cross boundaries, inspire others and promote change -- the latest of which are Dimonscapes®, a storytelling process that connects wall to web, one to many, theology to art. Several of these contemporary artworks at St. Bart's have been central to the church's seasonal focus for Christmas and Easter.

A panelist on the scholars’ track at CIVA's National Conference 2011: Matter and Spirit: Art in a Digital Age, she recently wrote about this experience in a blog for CIVA.

Roz is in her fourth year of EFM (Education for Ministry) and is a certified Eucharistic Lay Minister in the Episcopal Church. For further connection, google Roz or come say hello on Facebook.
